2019-2020 Local Unit Awards from Council & State
Thank you to our Community Supporters for a great, Virtual, Teacher Appreciation Week!
Dear Community Partner:
The Arlington Council of PTAs is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to supporting our Arlington ISD students, teachers, staff, and families. In recognition of the important work teachers and staff do on a daily basis across our district, we are proud to sponsor a Virtual Teacher Appreciation token of gratitude for National Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4-8, 2020).
The Coronavirus Pandemic has changed the way we all function in life, especially students and schools. With the closing of the physical school buildings and the switch to online learning, we have created a way to virtually show our appreciation to the 8,200 Arlington ISD employees. Our idea for the virtual gift is to create a digital coupon book. The coupon book will be used for AISD employees to enjoy either freebies or discounts at local businesses.
We need YOUR help to make this possible. Please consider creating a coupon to add to our book. To participate, design a coupon on your computer and save it as a pdf file. Once your coupon file has been created, email it to Valorie Kruger at email@example.com by Thursday, April 30, 2020.
Thank you for your support of AISD’s Teachers and Staff!

Arlington Council of PTAs Texas PTA Life Membership and Extended Service Award Nomination 2019-2020 The Texas PTA Life Membership is one of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon an individual for outstanding contributions to the well-being of children and youth.
The Extended Service Award is to honor those people who have continued to give outstanding service for a minimum of ten (10) years and have already been presented a Texas Life Membership.
Each year the AISD Council of PTAs requests nominations for these honors. If you know someone, a parent, teacher, or community member who has gone above and beyond the call of duty in working with youth in the Arlington ISD or in the community, please take the time to nominate this person! Recipients will be awarded at the Coucil of PTAs Founder's Day Banquet in February.
